Have you struggled with some specific sin like drug use or anger? Or have you been affected by a loved one who is dominated by their sinful lifestyle? Or do you want to learn how to minister to someone who is defeated by their bodily appetites?Join us each Tuesday evening for our One Step to Freedom bible study at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall.

This class meets the probation/parole requirements for those who have court-ordered attendance to AA/NA MEETINGS.  These meetings primarily focus on Bible study. No one is obligated or pressured to share anything unless they volunteer to do so including why they are there.

WHAT IS ONE STEP TO FREEDOM?

One Step to Freedom is a biblical curriculum that goes beyond teaching practical tools for overcoming addictive behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse, pornography, gambling, lying, anger, anxiety, even media.

This is a discipleship class that uses the Bible as the syllabus. The Apostle Paul wrote “Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Gal 5:16) Paul emphasizes the believers focus be on God rather than the sin. While many AA/NA groups focus on the behavior, the Bible teaches to focus on King Jesus who will transform our hearts that produces a changed behavior.

Every week the class will cover an aspect of a specific topic that will empower believers to walk in holiness such as “Planning for Victory,” “Initial Recovery,” “Forgiveness,” “Obedience to God’s Word,” “Spiritual Warfare,” “Fruit of the Spirit,” & “God’s Faithfulness.”

The heartbeat of the ministry is to encourage men and women to enter a saving relationship with the Living King Jesus and strengthen them through discipleship.

Jesus said “if you abide in My Word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free... Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:31-32, 36) The truth that sets us free is Jesus Christ & His word that testifies of Him.

Come join us as we pursue the One who restores the brokenness of life.
